So when, like a decade in the early 1900s, when silver toothbrushes were a popular christening gift, we don't find children's toothbrushes before the plastic and nylon wire was introduced to the market. Instead, it was the case that children never brushed their teeth and therefore loose gums became a common gift at confirmation.

This is an early toothbrush made of plastic with a symbol created by Walt Disney. It is marked "by Dupont" probably with Walt Disney's approval.
